Santa Barbara Children's Theatre

 Santa Barbara Children’s Theatre:

Santa Barbara Children’s Theatre exists to create extraordinary and family-friendly theatre experiences, and to advance theatre as a means of educating, challenging and inspiring young people.

Santa Barbara Children’s Theatre seeks to offer a season of quality productions for our community utilizing local talent and artists.

SBCT wants to give young people the opportunity to experience transformative theatre, both as an observer and a participant.

SBCT looks forward to mentoring young actors and encouraging the power of their imaginations.

Accomplished local actor and director Miller James shines in the role (of Barfee), infusing this arrogant and odd young man with humanity and vulnerability that eventually show through his prickly surface.

With director Miller James at the helm, this production works beautifully in the intimacy of CBB’s cozy little theater.

“Ah, but it’s Miller James who startles us the most. James takes a character that could so easily be caricatured and makes him believable, almost likeable.                                                          ~Back Stage West

Miller James manages to take us past his character’s complacent, utterly reprehensible attitude and make us see that they are perfect for each other.                  ~Santa Barbara News Press

“Dear Miller,

Thank you for your excellent work…it was a pleasure to work with you and the show was better for your participation in it…Thank you for your hard work and enthusiasm.”
